Choctaw Cultural Center About News Christmas Comes to the Choctaw Cultural CenterOrnament making, gingerbread decorating, and morePublished November 18, 2025DURANT, Okla. – The public is invited to join “A Choctaw Christmas” at the Choctaw Cultural Center on Saturday, Dec. 6. Doors open at 10 a.m. with activities running until 5 p.m.“A Choctaw Christmas” promises holiday fun for the whole family.Cheyhoma Dugger, director of Development and Membership at the Cultural Center, said, “Our ‘Choctaw Christmas’ is one of the best ways to celebrate Christmas as a family. Our communities and guests from all over the country look forward to celebrating at this event.”Choctaw artists and artisans will show original works, with many for sale. There will be photos with Santa, along with workshops for gingerbread chukka decorating, as well as making a woven Christmas star ornament and a beaded pony ornament.All ages can enjoy this holiday experience. The Champuli Cafe will be open and offer a special Christmas concession in the afternoon. The Hvshi Gift Store will be open, and the galleries will be available for touring.Regular ticket prices apply to enter the Choctaw Cultural Center at 1919 Hina Hanta Way in Durant, including complimentary admission for Choctaw tribal members and Cultural Center members.
