The Choctaw Cultural Center is planning another first, a dinner for couples on Valentine's Day. The Choctaw Cultural Center will host the Chi Hullo Li Dinner, Choctaw for "I love you," on Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the center's Champuli Café.

The Choctaw Cultural Center has been named a Top Ten Model Museum and cultural center staff members were on hand to accept the award at the 2022 International Conference of Indigenous Archives, Libraries, and Museums recently in Temecula, Calif.

The 17th Annual Choctaw Powwow will kick off Native American Heritage Month with what is regarded as one of the nation's largest and best powwows. More than 600 dancers are expected to be joined by drummers and singers, and an estimated 13,000 visitors for the festivities.

The much-anticipated opening of the Choctaw Cultural Center is scheduled for July 23. The Cultural Center, located on Highway 75 in Durant, Oklahoma, uses interactive and immersive exhibits and cutting-edge technology to tell the story of the Choctaw people, which spans over 14,000 years.
The Choctaw Cultural Center is conveniently located off Highway 75 in Calera, Oklahoma. In the immediate vicinity, guests will also find the Choctaw Nation’s Headquarters, dining and entertainment options and Travel Plazas.
